Who We Are

Phoenix Landing Farms

The phoenix is a mythical long lived bird that, upon death, is reborn from its ashes. For the past centuries we [humans] have been degrading and damaging our planet, and it's past time to end that course and begin anew so that everyone, humans, plants, animals, and others can not just survive, but thrive on our shared planet Earth. We aim to revolutionize our food system from one of damaging extraction, to a symbiotic relationship where we feed into the system that feeds us.

TC Alistia

As a child I wanted to be a farmer. Fast forward through years of distraction; US Army, Le Cordon Bleu for culinary arts, hospitality, and business management, Southern New Hampshire University online for environmental sciences, Oregon State University online for Permaculture, just to name a few. Now, armed with the knowledge to couple emerging practices to heal the environment and feed people, I am on my way to realizing that dream.

Anna

I have always been a creative, with textile arts being my longest-lived outlet. Frustrated with fast fashion - first in fit and [lack of] function then excessive industry waste and poor working conditions - I started studying how ancient peoples dressed themselves and adjusted my makings to be as natural as possible. In 2020 I adopted two goats to begin my flerd (flock-herd; real word), followed by a lamb. PLF will allow me to raise animals safely and humanely, in a system that feeds back into our natural environment, and produce the most ethically sourced leather and wool.

Image of Anna, a young woman with fair skin and red hair tied up, hand feeding strawberries to a white pygmy goat (Hyacinth) and white Dorset/ Cheviot lamb (Apollo) among greenery.

Pictured with me: Hyacinth (front) and Apollo, two of my original flerd.

Duck the Dachshund

Duck is a rescue dachshund who came to live with me in 2020. He is generally aloof from the going ons around him, but once he warms up to someone, they have a friend for life. He enjoys long naps on my lap, going to visit his sisters the chickens, and walking food to homeless folk in the area.
